T1: 2'24''99 (460 words)
People are having double standards for opening data to government and internet cooperations. People are more anxious when they know that government are grabing their data than they know about IT cooperations.
T2: 2'39''43 (388 words)
Big data may erodes privacy. Give a story about McNamara, a genius boy who use data effectively, on his wary use of data. He first succeed in World War 2 and Ford Motor Company.
T3: 2'50''54 (434 words)
McNamara did a good job in Ford, but did a lousy work in Viet War, where he used "body count" to quantify War's progress.
T4: 3'25''46 (467 words)
Google is a freak company who counts everything in data, such as hiring, designing UI etc, and some employees just can't stand this environment.
T5: 2'02''25 (316 words)
McNamara himself admitted that not everything could be quantified and we should also avoid that error.

Ob: 5'34''31 (858 words)
Main Idea: Snowden should stand out and confront US gov instead of fleeing  away.
Attitude: negative,critistic
Structure:
     - Snowden should not flee because he would not be accused for espionage but secret leaking.
     - Similar cases like Snowden and the consequences

The mass of information improve our normal life and the administration of company, but at the same time make us lose the privacy. Then the author has given us a example how the use of data help in the war.
3 3:55
How the data help the war and the car manufacture, however, the data can be biased, mis-analyzed o used mis-leadingly.
4 3:80
We have been bound by a large data mindlessly and the author continue to talk about how the data has been used in selecting the candidate.
5 2:20
The risk and the benefit of dictatorship of data.
OBSTACLE 6:20

ATTITUDE: Negative
STRACTURE
=>What happened to Snowden
=>The history of the American Espionage Act.

先交下作业,再重读obstacle的文章
2:58 120wpm
We feel uncomfortable that government spys on us. However, we are willing to give our information to some large corporations where the government's source come from. But we do not have a choice. There is no 'negotiate' between 'accept' and 'decline'.

2:51
2:41
Information is becoming important for all kinds of people. However, it also erodes privacy. Our freedom will be bothered if the information shows that we will do something but we have not done. M is a person who insist on collecting numbers for information. In Vietnam war, he and some other people found an imformation providing group and won a stunning success.

3:05
M was elected as president of Ford and was soon assigned as one of the cabinet of Kennedy, fot the war.
Some generals believe the body count was a sign of success but other critics think it was a sign of failure.
The numbers can be biased.
3:09
The way M dealt with company was by statistics not sentiment. He was named as president of Ford but was soon assigned as one of the cabinet of Kennedy for war defense.
M believes the numbers and he thought he could know what was happening to the whole world by looking at the body count provided by the government. The supporters of the war believed the body count as a success but the critics thought it showed immortality.
After the war ended, some generals said that those statistics of body count were lies. This means that the numbers are unreliable.

3:17 142wpm
We do rely on statistics to analyze some standards.
Google pays too much attention on statistics. It focus on the employees' grades rather than their talents. It wants everyone's SAT scores and it is said Bill Gates or Steve Jobs will not have the chance to join Google because they did not finish their university.

2:12
M thought some things related to human could not be simply reduced to statistics.

6:18
The author thought S should come back to America to face the problem instead of fleeing to countries that are thought to be less freedom to speak.
There is a law relating to what S had done and there are examples who are charged of it. One person is charged of this law because it is thought his ideas were against the law. However, unlike him, S has something real to talk about.

TIME1: 02'24'' our private information is monitored by the government though the internet. Actually the social media our company also use our privae informaiton. The difference is that the government can put you in jail while the company can not do so. Most people dislike the monitor from government. Maybe the government can provide some others ways such as free for shipping
TIME2: 02'21'' Big data has the dark side. It touch the privacy of individuals. It can predicate somthing and the sample of McNamara is given. Everything in his mind has a different indication. By analysizing the data he got, he can get some important nformation which helps the millatry win the second world war. The Ford Motor Company  employed McNamara team after the war
TIME3: 02'35'' McNamara used the data to improve the management of the company and then he became the predisent. But just two weeks later, he is assigned the presdent Kenndy's secretary. Then he employed the same data to Vietnam war. But afte the war, the generals involved in the war critise the big data. So the big data may be not accurate according to the change of the evnironment
TIME4: 02'40'' The big data can be harmful as well as good. Google depends solely on data. The data brought the success to Google. But it also trap google. When it recruit employee, evaluate the candidates acoording to the data. In accordance with google's standard, Bill gates and Jobs are not qualified because they don't fininsh the colleague. One of the senor manager quits google because google is full of engineer and everything comes finally to the data
TIME5: 01'46'' McNamara agreed that big data may lead mistakes. But he emphasizes that the big data should be used rightly. Although the big data can help people improve something, but at the same time it can also lead to the wrong direction

Obstacle: 05'28''
MI: Snowden shoudl come home and fight
ATT: neutral
STRUCTURE:
==>Snowden should come home and fight.
==> reason about what Snowden is worried is given citing the history cases
==> BBC also published the secrets of the vietnm war and the publisher is not sentenced by the government
==> Snowden should fight for his own right

发现大家都读好快,弱弱的我情何以堪

T1-3’50
People have double standard between the data collection and communication track of government and those of companies, concerning two reasons, the power of government to put us in jail and convenience in online service.

T2-3’20
People have a double feeling over big data, and big data exacerbates the problem, the consequence of data analysis gone awry.

T3-3’16
Mcnamara contributed to the body count, which could measure the progress of war. After the vietnam war, people have a controversy over the use of data.

T4-3’
Google was raised out as an example, dictatorship of data oriented.

T5-1’48
We should not repeat mcnamara’s mistake that obese with data and overtrust the results since we may be mislead.

OB-6’28
Snorman should go back to USA with courage to prove that he is right and fight against the government face to face. Talking in two different subtopics, espionage act and no secret, the author convinced that S wouldn’t be charged for death or long-term imprisonment if what he took is authentic.
