Bedroom: The medium-size bedroom is 14x7 ft, with a large walk-in closet (4x3 ft). You can fit in a twin size bed, dresser, desk and chair in the room. The bedroom faces south and gets lots of sunshine. Most amazingly, it has a beautiful French door, with a private access to a large balcony, where you can sit, have coffee, relax or study. The balcony faces the backyard, with lots of trees.
Apartment: This quiet apartment is very clean, cozy and well decorated. It also has very high ceilings, hardwood floors, and decorative molding. It is a 4th floor walk-up (need a little big exercise. Live-in super.

Building: This pre-war building is located in one of the landmark neighborhood in New York City. One block away from the Riverside park and Hudson River. 3 blocks to St. John the Divine Cathedral. One block to New York Public Library and two blocks to New York Post Office. 10 minute walk to Central Park.
Neighborhood: It is safe at all hours of the day and night. There are a couple of 24-hour supermarkets and pharmacies nearby. Lots of stores, banks, restaurants, bars and cafes catering to Columbia students. You will find everything you need just within a few blocks.

Transportation: 3 short blocks to 1 train at 110 or 116 street station. 10 minutes walk to B or C train. Many buses are around on Broadway. 15-20 minutes to midtown (times square). 30 minutes to wall street with 2/3 express train (transferred from #1 to #2 or 3 at 96 street station).

Roommates: You will share the apartment with a male graduate student from Columbia, clean and friendly.
