i do believe that wharton will release more offers in round 2 coz my Chinese peers mainly come from the second round.

yup, the release date is pretty much D-day, more exactly, "around" D-day, i think last year is March 25th, i am not sure whether it would change from year to year.

to be honest, the designation process is pretty random, i mean, they don't attempt to diversify your team. in my cohort, i am sorry to see that six team members come from the Asia region. it is not a diversified team, right? i am unfortunate to be in a team with most of financial backgrounds, so we sucked in courses such as marketing...

in all, i am sorry to say "don't expect too much on the learning team, it helps though".

Hi, Solidsnake,

What B-school is looking for is well-roundedness. Compared GPA with work experience, I would say that the latter outweigh the former. GPA play a certain role in the whole package but not that important. It can only demostrate one aspect in your college. You may explain in the additional essay the reason for the 3.0 GPA, is it because different rating system in your university, or in fact you were still top 10 despite the absolute figure.

I am an R2 applicant, do you know if the recommendation letter HAVE TO BE RECEIVED before the deadline? I mailed them last Wednseday and it is supposed to be there before this Thursday, but what if it is a couple days late, will I be considered as R3?

Q: I know there is an " Environmental and risk management: program in Wharton, any comments about application to this? How many students and Chinese students are taking it ?

I have been in USA for 6 years and I am doing environmental consultant work in NY. I have been dreaming to Wharton for several years. My background has not much shining points horizontally (i mean comparing to other successful people like yours), but i did have many successful stories in my personal striving life.

I visited UPenn campus last summer. I am preparing for G test now. My goal is to go back to China to do environmental management work, as you might not disagree that there will be a huge demanding of that very personnel soon, especially for the people and the country as well. I am not young any more, but i love to do things i like.
