Thanks a lot, zouweiyao
Your information cannot be more helpful. I really apprecitae these points.
Maybe I should try to take another GMAT after my applications are alldone.
However, it seems that there is nothing I can do according to Wharton's email for wait-lister.
No feedback, no point person contact, no additional material.
What can I do under that circumstance?
--------------------------------------------------
Dear Waitlist Candidate:
As a waitlist candidate, you may have some questions about the admissions process going forward. Listed below is some information about waitlist procedures that will be helpful to you:
· We will retain your name on the waitlist for consideration at the end of the next round unless you request your application be withdrawn. If you would like to withdraw, please e-mail mba.admissions@wharton.upenn.edu, using the subject header: “Waitlist Remove.” All waitlist candidates will be notified of any change in their admissions status by the Round 2 decision release date of March 24, 2005.
· We regret that we are unable to accept additional materials for inclusion in your application. This policy is designed to create an admissions process that is fair and equitable for all candidates.
· There is no point person in the office for the waitlist. All waitlist decisions are handled by the Admissions Committee.
· We are unable to provide additional interviews to waitlist candidates. We provide only one interview per candidate.
· We are unable to offer feedback to candidates while on the waitlist.
· There is no rank order to the waitlist.
· The chances of being admitted off the waitlist are hard to predict since much depends on the strength of the pool in subsequent rounds. Historically, the admit rate has varied from year to year and has very little correlation with the number of candidates placed on the waitlist.
· As with all candidates, campus visits are always welcome. However, please keep in mind that visits have no bearing on your waitlist status or eventual admissions decision.
Thank you in advance for your consideration of these guidelines. We sincerely appreciate your interest in the Wharton School. |
