As the beginning, a situation was posed that as a young child, the author used to communicate with his family members, especially her mom, by writing letter in paper. And this kind of behavior has been companying with the author until he moved to NY, where he lost his job. (忘记是否是失业了…)


Without ordered work from boss or manager, he found himself other commitment and endeavor to do --- writing letter to strangers by leaving those letters in many public places in NY. This behavior may seem amazing and staggering to people basing their social interaction on Internet, but it’s really intriguing and stimulating to the author. The reason is simple, he can read lots of surprising stories from strangers, and it’s worthwhile for him to continue this endeavor after the incipient try.

Now, his endeavor is more and more attractive and tempting to many other people, and most of them have already joined in him and started their own letters in paper. Among those followers and supporters, peers of the author who considerably indulge in Internet social activities and rarely write down words on paper by ink are in majority, surprising author a lot.

Then, the author shared his experiences on subway to illustrate that the benefits from writing letters by hand. Moreover, some interesting stories are mentioned by author.

Finally, the author claims and asserts that hand-writing letter will not disappear, because in his eyes, it’s become an art. Author describes and delineates what kind of art hand-writing letter is in the later parts, which I almost forgot…

I kept writing letters to communicate with my mother cause she don't trust the Internet.
After graduation, I have maintained the habbit in NY. I wrote letters to strangers and kept them into a crate.
I write on paper because I'm a storyteller.
