A只是说boreal owls的活动范围比其他的owls的活动范围大，但是文章让confirm的是对这一现象的解释，并非是对这一现象的confirm，confirm的对象不同啊

B 是说 Boreal owls rang over 的范围大部分都缺少 small mammals 所吃的食物。

所以，这种食物少－> small mammals 少－>单位面积内Boreal owls 能捕到的食物（small mammals）也就少了， 直接支持原文的解释。

其一,题目要求"confirm the explanation", 而这个explanation就是说range和B的食物有关.所以confirm的话必须提到食物

其二,A中说的是Some boreal owls range over an area eight times larger than the area over which any other owl of similar size ranges, Some只代表一部分,不是很有说服力

食物链——boreal owls吃小动物，小动物吃食物

推导，小动物吃的食物少了，boreal owls飞的范围就要大些，因为small mammals 在那里也scarce了
