College senior求大家帮助提意见，现在很纠结。跪谢！

首先，谢谢各位牛牛帮我小DS出意见！

职业目标：短期： IBD或者PE entry  in Greater China 长期：MBA后转consulting if possible or PE, IBD in the States.

现在是TOP50美本金融&管理大四在读，很快就要毕业了。之前这半年一直在申请master也花了很多时间和经历。现在结果不是特别理想，现在最理想的选择是Columbia SIPA两年的的master of international affair concenration in international Finance and Economic policy. MIT一年的MFIN被WL了很久，自己后来也做了很多努力，不过估计希望不会太大。

如果工作，毕业之后回greater China的话找靠personal networking可以找到还可以的PE或者卷商。大概30左右RMB的position。

我知道MASTER很useless能带来的基本也就是个school brand，出来之后能找到更好的工作，我也表示怀疑。特别是走拿着SIPA的学位走金融而且两年时间太长了。但是本科学校不够好，不是target school，想要columbia的brand。

问题：
1、现在这个项目可以defer，我就想可不可以先回去工作之后再申个MIA&MBA的双学位（或者直接放弃MIA）还是读完这两年再工作呢？
2、工作两年时间（probably 2 yrs in PE)会不会时间太短如果申M7level的MBA？我觉得dulal degree in MIA&MBA挺好的，但是他们只save我的info for 2 yrs.
3、MIA学位对我这样的职业规划会有多大，我也不是很清楚。

Hi, my friend. I’m glad to help! See my thoughts below:
1. That's up to you. You can take either path, but of course if you defer then the double program will take less time. If yo have a good job lined up it might be a nice option. If not, I would just study.
2. Two years will be a bit short. Three would be better. But if you have a great job and succeed in it and get promoted, you may try after two years too.
3. Well you applied didn't you!!!??? It should give you good opportunities for that first job, and provide you with the more technical tools in order to succeed in it.
