120. Decisions can be made quickly, or they can be made after careful thought. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The decisions that people make quickly are always wrong. Use reasons and specific examples to support your opinion.
Without exception , a person has to confront many problems and choices in his whole life, and everyone has his own preference. . An intriguing question is whether the decisions that people make quickly are always wrong. Some people prefer to make decisions quickly whereas opposing this way is another group of people, who like to think carefully before making it. In my opinion, I would like to oppose this statement that the decisions made quickly are always wrong. In the following paragraphs, I am going to analyze this problem from several aspects.
The most conspicuous reason why I am against this view lies in that this kind of critics are somewhat absolute, which means quick decisions are not always wrong. Virtually in the daily life, not all the decisions are vital and fatal ones, of which there always are some simply and minor things to be determined. Faced with those familiar and easy questions , people naturally make decisions in no time. For example , on weekends, a family discuss which restaurant is the best place to have dinner. It is commonly supposed that most people tend to go to the one which serves delicious dishes. Making this decision needs no more than one minute. It is not necessary for anyone to think it over and over again.
Additionally, the statement that decisions which are made quickly are always wrong does not suitable for those who have experiences. There is no denying the fact that there exist a group of experienced people who are experts in some field. If this kind of people make a quick decision about the fields they are familiar with and good at , could one say that determination must be wrong? Doctors in the emergency room stand out as a great example. An experienced doctor must be qualified for making quick decision when facing emergent situation.
Although making decisions after thinking thoroughly is a good habit and although there is a proverb that look before you leap, people still cannot draw a complete conclusion that all the decisions made quickly are always wrong. As was stated above, it is not hard to discover this decision is indeed hasty and wrong. .
