Thanks !!! but what to study now?

Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for putting this site here and I wish I had known this site a lot earlier in stead of less than a month before the test.  I was so surprised seeing many questions being answered.

However, I think I am a little bit overwelmed by the amount of material b/c I am only have 26 days left.  I would have studied or made much progress if I had seen this site during the summer.  Well...

Does anyone would like to tell me what to study right now?

What to study depends on what your problem lies in. If you are weak in quantatative, you need to work on the basic concepts and apply them in questions. If you are weak in verbal, you should pick up OG and try to get a sense what GMAT is about.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach in GMAT.

Hi Thanks,

My current situation is that I only have 27 days left from the exam. SC, I went through twice, once I did myself without any help, scored 53% of OG, another one was following XDF online class.  After that, I immediately had a grip of solving SC questions, probably 85%, but not now.  Now I am a little bit out of shape. Somewhere between 70-80%,  so what should I do with this part, continue OG, GWD, or XDF.

For CR, same with SC, I did once without studying anything and got 62% correct of OG, but I had not had a grasp until I took Priceton reveiw.  ( XDF's online class not only didn't help me, but confused me even more and I almost didn't know how to think, which made me not wanting to study for the whole summer) Now I know what's going on within the CR and have a much better correctness, but it took me a lot of time to solve one question. What should I do with this part?  Weak on infer and _______questions.

For the RC, I really don't know.  It's almost like a nightmire and I have fear when doing it right now.  I got 62% corrent of OG when I first did OG by myself and the I got even several articls without any mistakes for the later ones. Some articles i got all right, the worst got 4/5 wrong, which were very rare, but just completely blew it when the very first two passages were RC at the test.  XDF's teacher was also very good when it comes to RC and I felt I agreed everything he was saying, but unfortunately i did not have the immediate grasp as I did with SC and CR.  Even I understand the article perfectly, I couldn't get the right answer. I am expecially weak on detail or infer questions.  When it comes to astronomy or biochemecles, I can get lost and not know where I am. What should I do about this part.

For math, I thought math was my weakest part although I got 60% correct when I first did OG. It has been so many years.  Ironically I even scored a 60% in real exam.  Comparing to my Priceton classmates, I am better, but not to any Chinese students.  XDF's math was good, but I am still weak on probabilities, permutaion, and combination, Geometry, inequlity, and word problems. I am doing "Chenxiangdong's gao fen kuai su to pe" right now and closing to finish it.  And did 2 tests of GWD after knowing this site.  What should I do with this part right now.

Those are my current situation, I am having three classes right now and Dec11-17 will be my final week, so can't really count on that week or late next week either.  Regarding to the jijin, which month should I look at under time pressure?  Also, I've already registered the test on 29/12, but I still can change if that's good for the exam. Would you please address this one as well.

Thanks for giving me advice, I really like this site.  I only wish I would have known this site back in the summer when I was struggling with my logic and almost gave up.  I just can't see how someone can get a high score with two weak parts and not strong enough in math to pull up the total score.  However, I am glad that I am here right now.  It seems like there are so many kind-hearted, generous people here with their time, idea, and effort.

Thanks again!
