按照你这种想法，如果从普通人群角度考虑，更没人知道Kellogg是什么，西北大学还以为是西安的，芝加哥大学和波士顿大学MBA很多人也不知道哪个好，只是都是大城市名字罢了，Insead对于普通人更没人知道。而且从你说的那些来看，说明你对MBA回国就业的途径和program也不了解，问出这些问题说明你对MBA圈子的exposure基本没有。你的这些想法多是建立在自己想象和圈外人的见解。我很能感觉出来你是怎么样一个思维状态，等你进了这个圈子毕业之后，你再看今天的帖子会是另一番见解。

楼上同学提到的走进MBA圈看看很有道理，但我也建议楼上同学跳出MBA圈再看看。事实上MBA圈很小，也就外资金融、咨询和少数外企认真对待。


每次看到论坛里有人说“如果某个人、某个公司连XX MBA都不知道，你也不用跟他打交道了”的时候，我真的想说地球危险，还是赶快回火星吧。

其实DUKE在香港好像也是很多人知道吧，一般只要是倾向于招MBA的行业和公司里估计大家都会知道，偶们公司那个DUKE的姐姐毕业后就去的香港一家欧美大投行做IB，后来金融危机被裁进了香港一家PE，后来PE倒了就回大陆重新回corporate, 她说她们同学中去香港的不少。CAM学校的名声是很响的但是MBA项目总感觉没有其大学那么出名吧。当然大家只是觉得duke的MBA是不错的，但是不会让你有听到“沃顿”这样的名字时那种WOW的感觉吧，呵呵。

一般我身边的过了30岁还去读MBA的大多是只考虑1年制的，当然他们基本是不转行的也不打算待海外的，去读书的什么原因都有：比较dynamic的休息啊，一段出国的经历啊，获得自己未来想要的校友资源啊，寻找更好的工作发展的平台啊，不过LZ如果要转行而且商科的基础比较弱的话，建议还是读那种美国的2年制的。

如果LZ的+6年的工作经历都不是在国内的话，还是要谨慎地考虑“回国做高层”的打算，毕竟现在不比10年前，国内人才的成长速度很快。

多谢大家的建议，的确，选校不是随大溜的事，一定要和自己情况结合。
在这里加些有用的信息，望大家继续出建议哈：
Duke no $, 2 years;
Cambridge with 20k $, 1 year;
总体费用来说肯定Duke比Cambridge高1倍。另外不知道duke在香港找工作情况，昨天听个师兄说香港的话cambridge比duke好使, 如果是美国那就不用想一定是duke因为美国好像不太认英国1年的MBA即便是cambridge, 而如果中国大陆的话，和香港一样就选cambridge, 因为duke远不如cambridge知道的人多。
而我本人背景engineer,想转consulting 或 GM。 短期美国或香港， 长期说真的现在还看不清，想亚洲，因为毕竟是中国人，我觉得在美国可能找个稳定工作不成问题，但如果想进入高层还是得回国，毕竟国内机会多且语言文化通。另外我属于大龄申请者，30多岁了都。我的背景可见http://forum.chasedream.com/North_American_MBA/thread-818203-1-1.html

haha... It is very funny that 2 IMD guys participated in the vote: one voted for Duke and the other for Judge. So you see, even within the same business school, there is diversity!

To gina, American Culture is more valued there in "American MBA forum", not here la... We are only discussing the 2 programmes themselves. Of course the best choice also depends on LZ's background: prefer one-year or two-year programme? like American culture? where to land the first job? (U.S is different from HK, so if your choice is U.S, it is definitely Duke. But HK, I am not sure, maybe Cam)....Whether he has got some scholarship from one of the two? etc.

Also, GM and Consulting are two completely different things. Consulting can be viewed as a short term goal, to most of the people. GM can be a long term goal but a few years in consulting does not necessarily lead to a career in G.M: not every consultant can walk out of MBB successfully and a lot of them are just stuck there.... And there are a lot of roads to lead you to a GM career, not necessarily by MBB. So think about your own strong points before you make the decision.

我对这个商学院没研究过，英国的我只钻研过LBS，钻研完了就没申了，感觉不是太FIT而且太贵了，几年前打算申请MBA的时候曾经对DUKE很感兴趣（不过后来通过跳槽换了行业和地点了，就没申MBA了），所以那时有研究过DUKE，很喜欢他家的GM& Entrepreneurship的氛围，和我现在要去的dream school在这方面比较像，所以你看我的comments都是围绕着DUKE讲的。

这个世界上真正的牛人都是不读商学院的，马云啊宗庆后啊乔布斯啊之类的，不过偶是普通人非牛人所以免不了俗还是要去那地儿镀层金。。。

我也vote judge了，呵呵，对我来讲纯属个人原因，我申MBA最初的原因就是因为剑桥，之前在英国工作的时候有个judge 2000 年的哥们带我去剑桥玩了一圈，当时那个震撼啊，那个图书馆，学生bar，college，各国知性美女，还有各种牛人喝过酒的小酒馆。。。当时决定去剑桥读书，后来各个学院研究了一圈，发现除了MBA其他我都不太靠谱去不了，呵呵，这才开始留意MBA的，然后若干年后申到了剑桥和IMD以及其他的几个，选了IMD。


还是很喜欢剑桥，也很欣赏剑桥的同学，MBA可能不是剑桥强的项目，但是剑桥这个学校的氛围和平台对是life experience。我现在仍然有种emotional的感觉说过去就算不学习，在有800年历史的学校住上一年也很嗨，呵呵，回头度假时候去住段时间


选学校其实很个personal的，我觉得其实都差不多，没有哪个比哪个好特别特别多的，出来都没多大区别，呵呵，我到是觉得选location比较重要，我在摩纳哥工作时候认识几个摩纳哥商学院的master的学生，摩纳哥什么鸟商学院，以前都没听说过，现在都在摩纳哥的私人银行或者奢侈品行业工作，也很舒服。location，location，location。我是觉得如果想留在国外，选个location，然后找个当地知名度牛逼的学校，如果想回国，就找个国人认可的学校。说到底得想清楚读书时为什么，学东西？找个好工作？转换职业？纯粹体验？然后再根据具体目标选择。至于在学校能带来的价值因人而异，没法衡量。


同意真正牛人都是不读书的，呵呵，我等土人读书只是为了离他们近点
