LZ,我觉得我们career goal好像,我是IB(HK or Mainland)+VC。
I am like "WTF" when I saw this... so MUCH misinformed.....It is definitely NOT THAT ESAY to have a GPA higher than 3.7, at least in my college. People have high GPAs b/c of their course selection, kids in Business school can have an average GPA as high as 3.5, just b/c their course cannot possibly be any harder than a computer science course. I raged everytime when I saw ppl evaluate and make judgments simply based on unsubstantiated facts and figures.
I cant really type Chinese now, but I have been working part time in the admission office, we simply do not evaluate the transcripts from the U.S. against the rest of the world.
As for the OP (original poster)'s situation, probably b/c her application end up in a higher qualified pool of applicants, EOD, schools normally divide up applicants into groups to evaluate them...Lets just say a 3.5 is a must for most grad schools, a 3.7 will put you in one of those better programs, a 3.75+ will most likely secure a top program , provided that there is nothing inconsistent in your application. (such as a GMAT in the low 600s)
