有个小建议：开始模考的时间太晚了...lz的情况跟我去年类似，复习时间拉得长，但同时也要准备CFA，因此我建议将模考贯穿始终，复习前期2-3周模考一次，随时把握方向调整进度。建议用manhattan的在线CAT。

谢谢JJ的鼓励和建议！我其实是看到有的帖子里面说SC看prep08笔记和曼哈顿都可以，侧重点不一样，时间不太够可以选择其一。想问一下，你当时复习的时候是两者都用了还是只用了曼哈顿呢？另外，再次谢谢你的帖子，新prep分类加逻辑链加解释，很受用！

其次呢，有两个建议：第一，SC曼哈顿是一定要看的，跟OG同等重要。OG的题目偏简单。CR的话，lawyer的不错，不过看完之后最好自己总结一下逻辑链。

08和曼哈顿真的都是很好的材料，的那是如果你确定没有时间去两个都做，我还是建议你08吧。因为毕竟08是练习的题目，曼哈顿的东西比08好，因为毕竟是官方的（08是论坛的朋友自己整理的，相对来说，有的东西不一定很准确）。曼哈顿的东西如果不加以实践的话，是很难吃透的，知识点相对不连贯，而G的语法考的不会是单一的知识点，所以连贯性是很重要的。综上，如果没有时间，还是拿08的题目来练习，实战毕竟比看书效果来的快

春节走家串户事儿真多。。。终于我的GMAT复习又开张了。
【2-17】
1. 复习SC，复习之前又把baby姐的经验帖拿出来仔细研读了一遍。baby姐对于SC讲的非常的细，特别是关于复习SC的几个步骤。我采取了baby姐的建议，Step1先看manhattan SC，然后再OG. （事实证明，baby姐的建议是非常值得推崇的，manhattan把题型按照不同类别来分，每个题型后面有对应的练习，在章节最后也给出了OG对应的复习题，所以学习完manhattan，OG的题也可以拿来操练了。）

2. 细读manhattan的Chapter1 (sentence correction basics)和Chapter2 (grammar, meaning, concision).
关于Grammar，manhattan的理念是：The GMAT tests your ability to distinguish between good and bad grammar, even when the bad grammar seems natural.
Meaning：The correct answer can resolve ambiguity in the original version, but you should not change the meaning that the author intends.
Concision: The GMAT does not like to waste words, If an idea expressed in ten words can be expressed grammatically in eight, the GMAT prefers eight.

3. 完成Chapter2的学习以及课后10道OG12的题，做完之后在excel里面总结并且分析。Excel表格参照大牛们的分成了题号，我的答案与正确答案，类别，考点，我做错的原因。今晚先仔细分析了6道题，开始有些感觉了。做题的时候不仅仅是关注语法，而是考虑到逻辑表达，言简意赅等问题。茅塞顿开的一题是：
OG31.

我在CD两个答案中纠结，最后选择了C，正确答案应该是D。OG上的解释是C选项is wordy and awkward。这个解释就有点含糊，于是依靠强大的CD，我又搜出完美的解释：“Barbara同事那样，但是Barbara还是这样。所以主句和从句肯定是个让步转折，所以C也不对，因为C是纯对比，而且C的意思也不对，C翻译过来是与他深信的同事相反。实际上不是与同事相反，是与同事的观点相反。而且为什么要用现在分词的被动语态呢，现在分词被动语态要么表示动作正在进行，要么表示与谓语动词同时发生，好像在这都不合适吧。”（by  ximenheng）。所以说，这里一个小小的contrary to其实也是逻辑上的考查。我看到有的人评论说contrary to不能接人，如果仅仅是依靠记忆会比较辛苦，但从逻辑上来解释就很容易了。

4. 明天继续OG剩下的题分析。然后继续啃manhattan，计划完成Chapter3。

昨晚复习完太晚了，一下就睡过去了，今儿把进度帖补上。
【2-18】
1. 复习了manhattan SC的Chapter3 - Subject-verb agreement，总结了以下15点：
 1. Subject and Verb Must Both Exist

   5. Use Structure to Decide

   14. When in Doubt, Think Singular
   15. Steps to do subject-verb agreement questions

2. 把从manhattan学到的这些知识点运用到OG实践中。感觉manhattan讲的很到位，对应的OG题基本上都能很快看出考点。通过subject-verb agreement就能迅速排除很多错误的选项，省时省力，真棒！

3. 对OG的总结分析。以下两题OG解释的很给力。

OG12-60
While all states face similar industrial waste problems, the predominating industries and the regulatory environment of the states obviously determines the types and amounts of waste produced, as well as the cost of disposal.

Correct:
While all states face similar industrial waste problems, the predominant industries and the regulatory environment of each state obviously determine the types and amounts of waste produced, as well as the cost of disposal.

Comment:
原句中的主句subject是the predominating industries and the regulatory environment, 用and连接的两个并列成分后面verb应该是plural。这里determines是singular，incorrect。

正确句子中的主谓一致。另外，句子用all states说明了所有州遇到的相似问题，但是each state面对的情况不一样。这里的逻辑表达很通畅。

OG12 Verbal (2nd edition) - 34
Lacking information about energy use, people tend to overestimate the amount of energy used by equipment, such as lights, that are visible and must be turned on and off and underestimate that used by unobtrusive equipment, such as water heaters.

Correct:
Lacking information about energy use, people tend to overestimate the amount of energy used by visible equipment, such as lights, that must be turned on and off and underestimate that used by unobtrusive equipment, such as water heaters.

Comment:
这题就是那种需要完整读题才能判断的。and连接了两个并列成分，overestimate the amount of energy used by ... equipment... and underestimate that used by ... equipment. 这里的两种equipment (visible equipment和unobtrusive equipment)是并列成分, overestimate和underestimate也是并列成分，underestimate that中的that指代了前面的the amount of energy used。正确句子perfectly呈现出了这种并列关系，读起来相当爽啊~~~

4. 明日任务：复习manhattan SC Chapter4的parallelism。

昨天和今天复习了Manhattan SC的Chapter4 Parallelism. 完成了对应的OG12和OG12V 2nd Edition的题。

Manhattan Chapter4中需要关注的几点：
1. Parallel Markers
2. Parallel Elements
3. Lists with And
4.  Idioms with Built-In Parallel Structure
5. Superficial Parallelism vs. Actual Parallelism
6. Watch Out for Linking Verbs

OG12和OG12V需要特别关注的几个题：
1. OG12 SC-24: “attempt to metabolize, or render harmless, the chemical irritant”, or render harmless是插入成分，render之前省略了to，补全即为：to metabolize the chemical irritant, or to render the chemical irritant harmless. 这里harmless的位置前置，译为：使这种化学刺激物无害。(by前辈解释)

2. OG12 SC-88: "Jazz pianist and composer Thelonious Monk" 这里的Jazz pianist and composer是作为Thelonious Monk的同位语，相当于身份限定，是正确的表达方式，常见的还有profession A.

3. OG12 Verb (2nd Edition) SC-24: " ..., partly to acquire certain characteristics in their steers and because crossbreeding is said to provide hybrid vigor" 这里的平行看起来不是绝对的对称，但实际上是前置省略。补充完整应该是 partly (because crossbreeding is said) to acquire certain characteristics in their steers and partly because crossbreeding is said to provide hybrid vigor.

明日任务：
1. 完成manhattan SC Chapter5 _ Pronouns,
2. 查看大牛CR复习方法和计划，确定CR复习方案。
