如果是面试，为什么还说faculty members will be getting together  to finalize? 还是已经meet 过一次，然后圈了一个范围？prospective candidate又是什么意思？是说录取人选还是说这些人还要再被面试？。。。疯了

We have received you application for admission in our PhD program for fall 2013. Faculty members will be getting together in a couple of days to finalize our list of prospective candidates.
As the Marketing PhD  program director, I would like to chat with you for a few minutes in the next couple of days. Is there a good time and number where I can call you? Please let me know.

上周那个老师生病了，让后约好的时间就没谈起来。刚刚电话完，我觉得他主要就是听听你的英语怎么样，问一些很基本的问题，为why phd， why this school。然后介绍一下系里的基本情况，说说前两年的课程，reserach的基本安排。

对方说的很明白，这个不是一个interview。但是光为了这个phone call，我和他就来回了5-6封邮件，我觉得能给你打电话的应该至少是在他们的注意范围之内了。
