We look for our Master’s students to graduate from an AACSB accredited institution, as the State Boards of Accountancy require graduation from an accredited institution in order to sit for the CPA exam. An exception to this rule is if a student is granted a waiver. To support your waiver request, it may be in your best interest to contact the Foreign Academic Credentials Service (FACS) and ask them to provide an opinion as to whether your undergraduate degree, coupled with the Purdue Master’s in Accounting program qualifies you to sit for the CPA exam. For more information on FACS, please visit: http://facsusa.com/. Should you decide to pursue this course of action, please note you are responsible for all costs for services rendered by FACS. Currently, your application with Purdue is on-hold pending resolution of this issue.
