明显不是单数．如果是单数的话前面句子里的ＴＨＥＭ就没有指代了，最先排除的就该是Ｂ和Ｄ

我支持A,楼上所说的第一个理由不成立，因为farm是单数，them只能指代cows。
而E明显存在着被动语态provided修饰前后均可的问题，这是模糊的！
跪求高人驳斥为什么不能选A而选E，因为gmac的新prep上给的官方答案也是E!
