"Tall poppy syndrome": anyone whose achievements set him apart from the crowd is urged to underachieve and blend in. This phenomenon remains in a lot of cultures : India, UK, Australia , New Zealand, Canada.

America is fortunate to avoid this phenomenon and it's imperative that we keep it that way.
