本来是在做OG13,91也就是OG12,87题In an effort to reduce their inventories, Italian vintners have cut prices; their wines have been priced to see, and they are.
a.   have been priced to see, and they are.
b.   are priced to seLL, and they have
c. are priced  to sell, and they do
d, are being priced to sell, and have
e had been priced to sell, and they have
答案C
然后在DUKB24大神的讨论帖中看到babybearmm大牛贴出的Ron的帖子http://www.beatthegmat.com/soar-t62473-15.html
贴中指出:
in general,

1 * if you have than/as + subject + FORM OF "TO BE" as the second half of a comparison, then you must have another form of "to be" in the first half of the comparison.

2 * if you have than/as + subject + HELPING VERB as the second half of a comparison, then you must have the SAME helping verb
(perhaps in a different tense)in the first half of the comparison.

3 * if you have than/as + subject + FORM OF "TO DO" as the second half of a comparison, then you must have an ACTION VERB
(or another form of "to do") in the first half of the comparison.

here are some examples:
#1
see the post directly above this one.
also
parking spots are disappearing much more quickly today than they were yesterday.
#2
james can negotiate with salespeople more effectively than stephanie can.
i can run much faster than i could before my most recent knee operation. (note that "could" is the past tense of "can", so these are the same helping verb.)
#3
parking spots disappeared much faster today than they did yesterday.
tanya eats more slowly than she did when she was a teenager. (note that "did" doesn't have to have the same tense as the action verb)
这个例子中提出的she后面可以用did的点跟manhattan中第十三章助动词的知识点不同,manhattan中提出:
The first instance of the verb shouldusually match the helping verb in tense. If you need to change tenses, repeatthe whole verb in the new tense.
Wrong:I have never seen an aardvark, but last year myfather did.
Right: I have never seen an aardvark, but last year my father saw one.
我想问哪个才是做题的时候要遵循的点,因为这两个是相互矛盾的。。。
求各种NN解答。。。

刚在DUKB24 的千行excel中找到了些线索,贴出来希望跟我一样有疑问的童鞋能看到,下面是引用的:
xample #3:很confusing的一点,这里不同的时态eats 和did(这个did竟然不是用ate;而这一点在manhattan的章节中清楚说明是要用the working verb,在不同的tense时态中)

所以呢:和大叔yavev6的讨论,大叔的理论就是manhattan上面的那个例子都是并列句,而这里这个例子是比较句

至于为什么有这种情况?
个人见解:
并列句也就是所谓的two independent clause,而比较句是一个independent clause里面内置的比较结构一个是两个句子,一个是一个句子;所以,可能是为了清晰或者unambiguous,第一个的helping verb的补出在时态不一致的情况下,是要补出 exact working verb
open to discussion
所以呢…B选项的helping verb补出应该是没有错误的,但是C选项肯定是错的(B中的是working verb,C中的是are引导progressiveness)
这题的选项中有其他太过于明显的错误,上述的知识点只是和其他人讨论所得出的理论,可以说是extremely subtle difference或者根本就不存在这种rule
