It is obviously wrong.... the contrast should be between "after" and "before" at least! B. "were to" is not acceptable in the GMAT. D. "which" should refer to "satisfaction", then the word "so" after "more" is unnecessary. E. "which" should refer to "satisfaction", there should be a "that" after "than" to establish the comparison. but your understanding about so is right
so should refer to reported high satisfaction
it cannot refer to noun (as stated by prep07语法笔记)
