Most people, living in a modern times whichseems to be much more convenient and efficient than ever before , tend to holdthe opinion that people nowadays are easier to become educated  than in the past. However, the fact might bejust opposite, as the advanced technology nowadays brings us not onlyconvenience but also threats and obstacles.

It is true that we are living in a worldfilled with automobiles, televisions, computers and other sophisticated apparatus.With the help of these tools of great use, people nowadays can learn more bytaking a flight to another country to learn its culture, or taking the onlinecourses from Yale University at home. All these techniques make the knowledgeand other people's experience accessible to all of us. As a result, peoplethink that we now are more easier to be educated than the past. However, theyseems to ignore the threats brought by the highly advanced technology which canalso prevent people from studying.
Firstly, as people feel that the life ismuch easier than the past, they become lazier and refuse to learn new things.For most of them, there is no need to become educated as they already have alife of high quality. This is a bad news because we all know that if thecuriosity of the humans disappeared, and we stopped our exploration to theunknown world, our society would decay and suffer a huge depression.
Secondly, as the mass media plays animportant part in people's life, there is no doubt  that the information people received from themedia will influence the people a lot. More than once, we have seen theviolence shown on the screens and we heard about the rumors of the rock stars.Nobody can deny that we have been distracted by these information, neithercould we deny that these information are not beneficial. Children try to learnfrom the movies , they try to smoke and rob instead of studying at a very youngage. What a shame, the technology help the people become less educated!
Finally, nowadays the value of the society has changed. People do not pay as  much attention to education as they used todo, instead money has become the priority. And children’s attitude has beenstrongly influence d by this value system, they prefer to step into the societyto make money but not go to college to receive higher education.
In sum, easy access to education the modernsociety seems to have provided, people have been more vulnerable to laziness,violence, crime, and they will spend more time on anything but study. As theresult of these distraction, people would become less educated than the past.
