Offer from De Montfort University in UK

Hi,

Just received a PhD offer in accounting from DMU. I would like to ask whether the quality of this university in accounting is ok? I do not mean whether it is excellent like Harvard or Oxford, but just whether this university is recognized globally. Does anyone study the PhD in DMU? Would you please give me some advice?

这里用中文来说吧， de mortford 大学坐落于英国英格兰中部城市-莱斯特（LEICESTER），位于其市中心，所以购物交通都很方便。
英国当地的人都知道这个学校，甚至有的local people知道demortford却不知道leicester大学。
demortford排名很靠后，基本上都是雅思分数非常低的学生（2009年的时候，5好像就可以去）或者国内2+2,1+3项目的学生去那个学校
这个学校的大部分中国人都比较有钱。

Why did you apply to it in the first place?
I saw you applied to over 30 schools in us before. didn't work out?
dont waste your time on this program.
you probably couldnt find a decent teaching position after getting in a school lancaster, not to mention this DMU.

那你也是能去阿

在不知名的學校也能成為人才
不要被學校影響你的未來

Yes, I applied for 30 US universities but none of them accepts me...... I suck.....

For DMU, I do not need to study full time there, but I can have a full time work in Hong Kong, but fly to UK once each year to see my supervisor.

Up to now, I do not have another choice. ......

If it's fully funded I think it doesn't hurt to take it.

But is it gonna help with anything at all? Do you wannt to do research or teach?
