yes, you could get in the PhD in finance program if you like. But the question is why you want to have a PhD in finance? Obviously you have PhD in physics, thus it is relatively easy for you to move into finance area both academic or industry. (of course, it is not the case when other direction) Why waste four years to doing another PhD? My current supervior has no finance degree but with PhD in Theoritical Physics.

if you know nothing about fin, you can apply for a master in computational/ math finance. it's quite short.

有些老外不理解为什么要这样"累积学位"..  所以你申请时,  一定要解释清楚 why you need this second phd..
