(E) had claimed to have had visions of the Virgin Mary, whom
I chose B, but right answer is A. so on earth in which circumstance we should use perfect tense " have had" ,why not "have". and i found it conflit with the rigth answer of SECTION B 14(D).

E definitely is not the answer, too "luosu" redundant. Meaning of the sentence, to make profit on your investment, you need to strike a balance among varioius factors such as knowledge, luck, timing etc.
First question actually did not focus on sentence tense. "who" in A is better than "whom", so A is the answer. Also "have had" is compatible with "claimed".
In your second sentence, scenario is different.

885 section E, the 2 most diffcult questions need XDJM to help:

It takes (sb) sth to do sth.很典型,记得中学就学过。
这句话我尝试翻译一下吧:要通过投资来筹集百万美金的话,必须在储蓄定律,投资知识,冒险,运气和时间之间做一个非常巧妙的平衡!也就是说做这事可不是那么简单的,需要考虑到这么多的因素。
请记住这个句型!
Aim high, act high. Think Big, do big. We are realistic, but we are more optimistic!!! Fighting together! ![]()

4.In June, 1981, six teenagers in the village of Medjugorje, Yugoslavia, claimed to have had visions of the Virgin Mary, who they say has continued to appear to them over the ensuing years.
(A) claimed to have had visions of the Virgin Mary, who
(B) claimed to have visions of the Virgin Mary, whom
(C) claimed to have had visions of the Virgin Mary, whom
(D) claimed to have visions of the Virgin Mary, who
(E) had claimed to have had visions of the Virgin Mary, whom
My view:
choice B,C,E should be first excluded because the clause can be regarded as "who (they say) has continued to appear to them over the ensuing years", "who" serves as the subject of the clause. Between choice A and choice D, the verb "have visions of" occurs prior to the verb "claim". you can translate it into chinese"....声称已经目睹过virgin mary...". In fact, the clause also give a cue by describing ...continued to..., that means that they have had visions of virgin mary.
14. The Western world’s love affair with chocolate is well-documented: few people have been known to have tasted it for the first time without requesting more.
(A) few people have been known to have tasted it
(D) few people have been known to taste it
choice B,C,E respectively has obvious error. About choice A and D, the sentence gives a cue by describing .....for the first time...., so i choice D. I think that the tense of the infinitive is up to the logical meaning of the sentence.
