在It is这种句子结构中, it常常是做形式主语. 就是说真正的主语是后面的名词词组,不定式结构或从句等. 上面的句子实际上是the main focus of social psychology is the interaction between people, ... (当主语较长, 或者要表强调时, 会使用这种形式主语的结构)

如果认为THAT引导的从句修饰THEIR LIVES, 那么全句无主语, 所以错误.
