Research experience 到底在Accounting PhD的申请中有多重要？问过一些教授 类似的问题 但是答案都不太一样
一部分人说 读PhD就是教你怎么做研究 这这之前你会不会做研究不重要 如果能做研究 那还来读PhD干嘛
另外一些人说 读PhD就是为了做研究 早先接触过 还是对你有帮助的
所以就有了上面那个问题：Research experience 到底在Accounting PhD的申请中有多重要？

everything else constant, having research experience is always more competitive than not having.

to be honest, almost all of the Chinese accounting Phd students at north america are at the 1% or 5% ranking in their under- or post-graduate school, but not many do well in research.  

thus, i actually prefer an applicant with research background which can show his/her potential, over an applicant with high GPA or GMAT
