As far as i know, if they say "we are looking forward to see your application in December" or the like, please do not take this seriously--I mean they may be really serious, really "..looking forward..", but they may say so to every inquirer, and it is just a formality. Anyway, PhD application IS MORE COMPETITIVE than the US, I am sure on this and responsible for such statment.

是我说的误导了，多大UBC这种竞争肯定还是很激烈的。可能是因为有几个还不错的program对我很友好，让我误以为他们招不到好学生。现在想想是不是对我感兴趣完全是由这个program的不同侧重决定的。

I would say phd application in Canada is much much more Competitive than that in the US

我只会比你更弱，这里好多大牛，我都不好意思说自己的背景，好在加拿大的竞争没有美国激烈。

背景弱啊，美国会计小本小硕，可以加q吗？共勉呐 116591195

同路握手，我也是申请加拿大的，全加一共十几个accounting的PhD program，你可以每个都看一眼。我五月末去围观了CAAA的年会，打听了一下情况顺便面套，据说加拿大能进美国top30的只有多大，第二梯队的有UBC，UA，Waterloo，McGill，Queens，再下来是York，Concordia，UWO，McMaster这些。法语的HEC Montreal和Laval貌似也不错。另外还得看你是什么方向和背景。如果数理背景强的话就申多大UBCWaterloo这些（UBC不要申请费的），他们很喜欢数学和统计专业出来的。
