Do you agree or disagree that parents should plan leisure time for children.
It is not unusual that parents have an excessive desire to control the trait of a child’s growth. Although sometimes overprotected parents could harm to child’s psychological development, I have to admit that it is a necessity that parents should take the responsibility to plan children’s leisure time.
Parents’ protections are, essentially, of great importance to children’s ways of playing. At a very young age, most children are not capable of distinguishing the good from bad. For instance, there are so many TV shows that are improper for children to watch, the truth is that without parents’ protection children are exposed to these improper TV shows whose influences are unpredictable. Hence, it is acceptable that parents should censor the material that children may encounter in the free time. After all, with parents’ guidance, most risks can be eliminated in children’s life time.
Further, children can hardly be self-regulation without a control from a superviser. As we all know, playing is the nature of children. So, there is no exception that children prefer to spend all the leisure time to play. Under that circumstance, parents should lead children to maintain a time schedule. Undoubtedly, awareness of time controlling play a crucial role in children’s daily life, leading children to success.
Most importantly, parents’ participation in children’s leisure time can strengthen the kinship between children and parents. Currently, parents are occupied by work even in weekend due to the pace of modern life. No wonder, more and more children feel unfamiliar to their parents. Evidently, most children are eager to spend leisure time with their parents. Under no circumstance should parents cease the responsibility to accompany with their children. I do believe that the interaction in leisure time is a footstone to build the trust between children and parents.
I would like to say that I personally agree with the statement that parents should plan children’s leisure time. After all, parents always play an irreplaceable role in children’s psychological and physical growth.
