DescriptionPh.D. student positions in Electrical Engineering at OaklandUniversity are open for Fall 2012 and Spring 2013. The successful candidates will join a lab toconduct biomedical imaging research. Active projects include the development ofdata acquisition, image reconstruction, and image analysis techniques inmultimodality imaging including PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and PET/MRI.


Applicants should have BS or MS degrees in electricalengineering, physics, medical physics or a closely related field. Relevantexperience and skills in physics, mathematics, modeling, image reconstructiontechniques, instrumentation, computer programming and/or the specific imagingmodality, are desired. Good communication and writing skills and a willingnessto work in a multidisciplinary collaborative environment are expected.

Oakland University is a state-supported research intensiveuniversity located 25 miles north of Detroit, which offers both small towncharacteristics and a wide diversity of culture, sports, and entertainmentactivities.
