Frank,非常非常感谢你的建议和思路,很有启发,我会按照你的思路进行接下来的思考。另外,technically你觉得我是否有机会可以试一下前10名的MBA??
Hey there, good questions here ! let's dig into it shall we ? Well first of all, you need to separate the “what will I do with my life”from the “what is the best strategy for me to get into business school”. It’s totally fair of you to actually go into an MBA program with the idea of DISCOVERING what you want to do. You just don't want to write that on your application! So, you have to think about whether you do want to present Energy industry goals to the Adcom, because there always will be a slight strategic advantage to presenting goals in your own industry in which you have experience. You don’t of course, have to stay in Africa! There are plenty of jobs all over the world, in Europe, the US, Asia… in classical energy as well as renewable. You could also alternatively try and focus on Energy Consulting. Now, you may not have the “Technical” side of things, but your business experience will definitely be valued when you look for a job. If you really really don’t want to do energy stuff, then at least try and give goals that you can use your FUNCTION if not your industry. But like I wrote, your first job now is to strategize goals that you will get IN with. Once you get IN, you can do whatever you like! Make sense ? Jon Frank -- by 会员 JonFrank (2012/8/20 18:31:16)
