Hello All, please don't mind that a stranger is stepping in here. I am currently applying to Ivey's MBA program and may need your help. Before I ask for your help, I would like to contribute below information first. It was extracted from an auto response e-mail from Ivey. Hope that all of us will be successful in the application to Ivey. Good luck to all! Admission Requirements to Ivey:
* All applicants should have at least 2 years of full time work experience as the case method of study draws on students' prior work experience. The Admissions Committee may consider an applicant with 2 years, depending on the work experience and overall application.
* Applicants are encouraged from all academic disciplines. The minimum academic average is 70% (B-), our average is 78% (B+). Applicants from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines and Burma must hold a masters degree with first or second class standing in order to be eligible to apply to the Ivey MBA Program. There are exceptions for some professional schools such as dentistry, commerce, engineering when we would consider a bachelors degree with first class standing.
* The average GMAT score for the current first year class is 650. We like to see GMAT scores above 600, although we will consider applications with GMAT scores less than 600 depending on the quality of the rest of the application.
* Our minimum TOEFL is 600+ (or 260 on the CAT). However, as the case study method requires intensive English language speaking, listening, writing and reading, we look for strong English language abilities and we weigh each component of the TOEFL carefully. Ivey will also accept the academic IELTS score. Minimum score of 6.
Class Visits:
* Class visitor dates are currently posted on our website. Class visitor dates will be posted until March, 2005, inclusive. Please check the www.ivey.uwo.ca/mba/visit website for on-line registration and to view the agenda. The dates will be continually posted as dates are added. The current class visitor dates are: November 1, November 22 and December 6, 2004; January 10, January 24 and February 3, 2005. We encourage applicants and potential applicants to visit the School. Interviews can be conducted the same day as the class visit.
