Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The main role of a university professor is to educate students rather than to do research.

There is a controversy nowadays about what is the main role of university professors. Should they pay more attention on research or concentrate on educating. Someone who advocate the former said that, professors do lots of research can help promoting the technology in their field, improving the develop of whole society. And the advanced knowledge also benefits students. Besides, these research consequences help them research the forward in their field, too. While I am opposes that opinion. My perception is sufficient discuss as follows

To begin with, educating is the fundamental obligation to professors. Professors have obviously influence on students thinking and their performs. University hire them are aim to education students, research is just listed at the second place. Without their teaching, it is difficult for students to understand the deep theory, and also have difficult in know about the complex experiments. Professors not only teach students knowledge, they also educate the idea and the method about a field.  What's more, the education during university is play important role in students’ future career, and also has significant impact on the whole society's development. Do not like the education in high schools, the knowledge gained form university are directly connect with the careers students choose in future. Imagine that, if all university professors just concentrate on research, and do not pay attention on educating, what will our society be? It must have negative influence on cultivate talents.

Another equally significant view is that, educating not only benefit students but also have positive impact on professors themselves. They could inspired with new ideas which are inquired from their students, and on the other hand professors can find assistants in their students, helping them to do research efficiently. For instance, one of Chinese famous agriculture scientist, Yuan Longpin, found several assistants form his students. And the truth, inventing the methods of increasing gripes production, proof that they are help a lot in research.

To sum up, as a professor, even though, research is vital to him or her, education is the fundamental obligation. He or she must pay more attention on it.

3.主次分明，要是再加上一些例子和例子和主题句之间的衔接词，文章的整体连贯性会好很多。
