Question: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The best way to travel is in a group led by a tour guide. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
以下是我的作文 Tourism has been flourishing in the past decade and the growth potential is still not to its limit. However, the ways to travel is a major problem in this industry. Some argue that the best way to travel is in a group led by a tour guide, while others disagree.
Traveling in a group has its positive effects, as the organised traveling is appreciated for some people by several reasons. The organized route and adequate pleasure is perfect for individuals who seek a brief view on the tourist attraction in the destination of the trip. The tiring planning of traveling routes exhausts many, but this does not exist when following a tour guide. The tour guides are experts in the city or country, and they covers the features of the place more concisely in most of the time. It is impossible to get lost with a group and a guide, especially in the mountains or a metropolis, where individual travelers face this frequently. More experience can be shared in a touring group and more friends can be made, consequently creating a more friendly environment during traveling that traveling individually or in a family. Besides, it is much more economic than traveling individually in most of the cases.
However, travelling in individuals does have some advantages over traveling in groups and a tour guide. As the tour is organised, the route is fixed in most cases, which results in less freedom. The trip could be exhausting as the whole journey could be so full in terms of time and have no time to rest, as the schedule in individual traveling is flexible and relaxing. The tour guide may encourage travelers to purchase expensive goods with little cost in production in certain shops, which are connected with travel agencies and lead to loss of money. Some routes planned by individuals are actually better than the routes suggested intravel agencies and tour guides. Furthermore, not only the famous tourist attractions but also the local culture and everyday life of the residents are covered in the journey, which is considered more important and thus better than traveling with a group and a guide.
I have always been a supporter of traveling with my family or by myself, as proved in my previous journey to inner Mongolia and Los Angeles. I have enjoyed more than the most that traveling with a group and a guide offers by carefully planning and consistant observing the life of others. |
