Because of decreased availability and greater demand in scientific research, platinum remains at a consistently high price, like that of gold. Answer: (c) - NOT (d)... which is what i put... the answer explanation doesn't really explain why "demand in" is better than "demand for"... Here's there explanation -> ...Third, "Demand for scientific research" implies that the research is in demand, when in fact it is the platinum. "Demand in scientific research" would be better....

我前面解释了一下，不是牛，所以大家就看看吧

我查了字典，肯定demand on 这里是不对的，想都不要想了

demand for sth, 就是对某个东西的需求，但是这个句子里的被需求的是Pt不是scientific research

说起来像是  demand for pt in scientific research，但是这里pt做了主语

我觉得语法是死的人是活的

尽信书不如无书

当然我不是牛....

我搜了下OG和prep所有正确的句子，发现demand的用过的就两种，一是according to ..demand for sth, 二是demand that ... 所以到时候大家谨慎对待demand on的用法
