【迷茫贴】求问各位大牛前辈~！求定位求指导！！！

第一次上CD不知道应该在哪里发帖，若有得罪还请见谅~！正题：
小女纸是对外经贸大学信息管理专业大一在读,希望早早为出国深造打算！
原本听说卡耐基梅隆大学MIS专业很不错的每年都有学长学姐去，结果CMU来UIBE的留学生告诉我他们MIS专业出来的都是去非死不可啊谷歌啊做程序员？！我不想做程序员啊啊啊！！我想做咨询啊！！
于是就有人给我推荐说要不去美国读个金融（目前正在双学位金融），或者LSE的MIS也是比较偏管理方向的，或者去香港读个金融也是性价比很高的嘛。。
于是我就迷茫了啊！求各位帮我分析一下以上四条路，哪一条看起来比较光明？ 希望有现身说法的大牛牛出现~~

enjoy yourself in college life and find ways to develop your interests

yes..现在就想研究生有点太远，至少到大二，真明白自己在学什么，对以后有一些想法了，再考虑也不迟。

当然，如果你对金融咨询管理等已经有非常深入理解，那么另作别论~

Hello my friend.  Yes indeed, CMU is among the best schools for MIS, and we send a number of Chinese applicants there every year.  Now for consulting, however, CMU may not be the right choice for you.  In fact, there are many better programs out there if you want to avoid the “programmer’ career, or EE etc.  Of the options you have listed above, I like all of them…other than CMU!  J  HK is just fine—what you want, ideally, is some international experience.  Anything that will show that you are more than just a typical “chinese computer guy.”  So any international experience at all, anything that is NOT technical will go along way.  That’s your goal my friend—hope this helps, and good luck!

I will be a sophomore soon and i can feel the pressure over me. Though I've been enjoying college life, my grades are not as impressive as my social experience.
And I'd love to explore my options by learning from your experiences and advise

怎么说呢，外经贸是一个机会很多的地方，这也造成了我不了解自己内心是喜欢本专业然后以后从事信息方面的工作呢，还是对金融证券这些更感兴趣，我甚至不了解咨询具体在做什么。
请问如何才能尽早定下来或者说发现，自己喜欢的专业和就业方向呢？您对这几个领域了解吗？

and what's actually the best major for consulting, cuz i heard that consulting has no requirements on your major, it only require an IVY league degree is that true??

Haha! Thanks dude! We try to keep updated about all the schools. What is the best major for consulting? Usually Business is very good, as is politics, economics. I've seen history people do well also in international consulting, cause those folks can have a real handle on the background. Other than that, you gotta be good at the quant stuff, they tend to recruit the top of the class at the top universities, and you gotta be ambitious and willing to work LOOOONG days!


My company is us - Admissionado - which I run full time, and I don't really "work for it" cause I get to be the boss
