Ph.D and Postdoc openings at VT ECE

Several graduate research assistants (masters and Ph.D.s) and postdoctoral
research associates positions are now available at the Center for Photonics
Technology (CPT) at Virginia Tech,  directed by Professor Anbo Wang.

CPT is one of the largest and well-reputed research centers for fiber optics
and sensing in the United States (http://photonics.ece.vt.edu/).  The engineering program of Virginia Tech is now ranked 24th by the US News (http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-engineering-schools/eng-rankings). Several vibrant ongoing and anticipating programs are in need of highly motivated candidates with strong background in the following fields:

?    Measurement instrument/secondary instrument;
?    Electrical circuit/electronics;
?    DSP, FPGA, embedded system, DAQ
?    Optics;
?    Fiber optics, fiber optic sensing;
?    Material, sensor package;

Candidates in electronic/electrical engineering, precision instruments,
optics, material science, and applied physics are encouraged to apply. Prior
