都晕了。是不是that witch都不能指代一句话而且只能就近指代啊。that能用于非限定性从句吗？

that 不能modify人，
which只能modify事物。
General Rule if choosing between which & that: (essential and non-essential noun modifiers)
Use which (+commas) if modifier is non-essential (非限定性?)
Use that (+no commas) if modifier is essential (限定性?)

不好意思这是我Manhattan GMAT中摘抄的笔记，不知道中文essential 和non-essential的翻译，不过从你的意思上来讲应该是限定性和非限定性的意思吧。

However, the GMAT has acknowledged that this which/that differentiation is controversial, so the GMAT is unlikely to make this distinction the make-or-break issue for any answer choice.
You should still obey the comma rule, as stated above.
