LBS vs Cambridge with £££

恭喜楼主幸福的dilemma。请问楼主cambridge申的是第几轮？

Fifth round, but interviewed with fourth round. It took 10 days or so from submission to admission. I know it is a bit odd.

It took roughly 30 minutes. All very normal questions - why MBA, why Cambridge, why now, short and long term goal? Advice: be confident, show your uniqueness and take it easy. The way you respond to your questions is at least as important as your answers. Hope it helps.

I have little knowledge about consulting recruitment in Cam, but most of LBS students in my year got at least 2/3 interview invitation from top consulting firms. Even our experience show no relevance with consulting...

I don't think CMB eliminates the opportunities to MC generally, or even to MBB. There are cases that MBB hires are from Oxbridge MBA. It is highly depends on the match level. Even person with no MBA experience can be hired by MBB, as long as their industry experiences matche the vacancy

This is controversial in Chasedream, but somewhat true in Europe.


LBS/INSEAD/IMD students automatically granted for Case Interview for MBB. For IESE/HEC, most students who applied will get interview. For Cambridge, you are required to differentiate yourself in order to get an interview. Of course, this will touch someone's nerve here.


If you are good enough, you can still get an interview even you study at Judge. Once you are in a case interview, nobody cares which school are you from. At this stage, the only differentiator is your ability to crack the case.


However, I believed that LBS is a safer bet if you really want to break into MBB.

I've checked it. But it does not reflect a true pic since some of them were MBB sponsored anyway - rehires. My target is not necessarily MBB. Any top 10 consultancy will do. Is LBS just marginally better than Cambridge in consultancy?
