GRE允许选择性寄送成绩的解读：

新的PREP软件将会更改记分方式为新GRE寄分方式，更方便学员考察自己的复习状态。新增的三套题将会给我们复习带来更多的参考信息，北京新东方GRE团队会在第一时间准备相关的教学教研和相关的解读。这是一个利好的消息。


可以选择性寄送GRE成绩给考生带来的好处是可以把自己最好的成绩寄送出去，申请自己想去的学校，可以避免因为意外的考试失误给考生带来不良的申请影响。

但是事物总会有两面性：
ETS的友善性寄分改革，会让中国的考生陷入到放松和懈怠的复习状态，不利于建立严谨的学习态度。

并且，多次考试，将会导致考试成本上升。并且，当刷分成为可能的时候，高分学员就会越来越多，而美国学校招生的人数是不会大幅度增加的，其结果就是美国学校会提高录取的分数线，导致的蝴蝶效应就是，中国区的考生需要付出更多的努力去考更高的分数。

当高分已经成为常态的时候，分数已经不能区分学生的百分比的时候，ETS就会再次的改革。

所以，从本质上来说，这不是一个利好的消息，而是将来中国学生为了考试更多的付出和更不容易得到的回报，这件事情的受益者是非营利机构的ETS，将会有大量的考试费入账。



2012年7月起GRE将实施新送分规则

摘要：新东方网讯4月24日，美国ETS-GRE®项目团队在全球GRE考试培训机构网络说明研讨会上发布了2012年GRE新的改革说明，新东方网为您带来相关报道。

美国ETS-GRE®项目团队在4月24日举办面向全球GRE考试培训机构的网络说明研讨会上分享了2012年即将推出的新的改革说明，主要内容如下：

一、2011 GRE考试大事记

·2011年是GRE考试历史上考试人数最多的一年，共有超过70万考生参加了新GRE考试。

·美国本土考生量较2010年增加10%

·美国以外的地区较2010年增加了近25%

全球考生人数普遍上升，包括欧洲、非洲和其他国家和地区
中国的考生人数上升了28%
印度则上升了43%

·约3000所院校认可GRE考试成绩。这个数字正在全球范围内继续急剧增长。

事实上，超过800所商学院的MBA项目认可GRE考试，USNWR MBA项目排名前100院校的80%均在此列。

二、考生数量上升并不奇怪，因为参加新GRE考试是明智的选择

·出国留学
全球数以千记的研究生院和商学院认可新GRE考试

·更多机会

三、2012年新改革

·为了拓展我们的“考生友好型”平台，我们将于2012年7月引入了新的GRE送分规则。

·在新的送分规则下，GRE的考生现在可以自主选择最能反映个人水平的成绩寄送给学校。

考试当天，当考生在考试中心浏览自己分数时，可以作出如下选择：

>选择寄送最近一次考试的成绩（ScoreSelect Most Recent）-寄送当前考试的成绩（免费）。

>寄送所有考试成绩（ScoreSelect All option）-寄送过去5年所有考试成绩（免费）。

考生可以免费对四所学校寄送成绩报告，每一次均可以进行上述两种选择。

考试日后，考生通过付费向四所免费送分学校之外的学校寄送成绩报告时有如下选择：

>选择寄送最近一次考试的分数（ScoreSelect Most Recent）-寄送当前考试的成绩。

>寄送所有考试成绩（ScoreSelect All option）-寄送过去5年所有考试成绩（免费）。

>从所有考试中任意选择（ScoreSelect Any option）-从过去5年所有考试成绩中选择一个或者多个成绩进行寄送。

四、时间

我们希望新的送分规则可以帮助GRE考生更加自信地迎接即将到来的考试，从而发挥自己最大的潜能。

·新的送分规则将从2012年7月开始正式实施。第一次实行新送分规则的考试具体日期将于6月初在GRE官网公布（www.ets.org/gre）

·考生在新的送分规则实施之前寄送的成绩单将会包括过去5年内所有的考试成绩

五、关于新的送分规则

·无论考生选择了哪一种送分方式，任意一次的GRE考试的分数都将在成绩单上完整呈现。（即成绩单会完整显示考生所选的考试完整的各科成绩）

·新的算分规则适用于GRE普通考试及GRE单项考试。

·高校只会收到考生选择寄送的成绩。（成绩单上不会显示考生是否多次参加考试）

六、再次参加GRE考试

·从2012年7月1日起，考生每30天可以参加一次新GRE考试-机考+笔试-并且12个月内不能参加超过5次考试。

·参加GRE普通考试或者GRE单项纸笔考试的考生可以任意参加考试，不受频率的限制。

·考生可以通过GRE的官方网站了解更多关于GRE考试相关政策的信息。

七、新的备考材料

·新GRE考试官方指南（第二版）The Officia Guide to the GRE®revised Genera Test,2nd edition, 推出时间：2012年8月

Following the successful introduction of the GRE® revised GeneralTest, the GRE Program is now introducing the ScoreSelectSM optionas one more enhancement to its more test-taker friendly platform.With the ScoreSelect option, GRE test takers can decide which testscores to send to the institutions they designate, so they can sendthe scores they feel reflect their personal best.
The ScoreSelect option, available starting in July 2012, buildson the momentum that started with the 2011 launch of the test-takerfriendly GRE revised General Test, which test takers worldwideresponded to with great enthusiasm. "The ScoreSelect option focuseson helping test takers succeed on the road to an advanced degreebecause they can approach test day with more confidence," saysJames Wimbush, Dean of the University Graduate School and Professorof Business Administration, Indiana University, and 2011–2012 GREBoard Chair.
"Adding enhancements, like the new ScoreSelect option, to ourtest-taker friendly platform helps people feel good about making amove toward graduate and business school, and that is what's mostexciting about this announcement," says David Payne, Vice Presidentand Chief Operating Officer of the Higher Education Division atETS. "Anytime we can make changes that improve test takers' testingexperience and confidence to succeed, we create more opportunityfor all students."
Test takers can now select from several options.
On test day, when viewing their scores at the test center*, theycan select the:
?ScoreSelect Most Recent option — Send their scores from theircurrent test administration (FREE).
?ScoreSelect All option — Send their scores from alladministrations in the last 5 years (FREE).
Test takers can decide which option to use for each of their 4 FREEscore reports.
After test day, test takers can send Additional Score Reportsfor a fee and select:
?ScoreSelect Most Recent option — Send their scores from theirmost recent test administration.
?ScoreSelect All option — Send their scores from alladministrations in the last 5 years.
?ScoreSelect Any option — Send their scores from one OR many testadministrations in the last 5 years.
Scores for a test administration must be reported in theirentirety.
"The ScoreSelect option for the GRE tests is an extension ofETS's long-standing strong commitment to enabling ever moreindividuals, both minority and majority, to take the next steptowards graduate or business school, giving them invaluableadditional opportunities for their future," says Michael Sullivan,Executive Director, STEM, Hispanic Research Center, Arizona StateUniversity.
