题目是:
The following appeared in a memo from the director of a large group of hospitals.
"In a laboratory study of liquid antibacterial hand soaps, a concentrated solution of UltraClean produced a 40 percent greater reduction in the bacteria population than did the liquid hand soaps currently used in our hospitals. During a subsequent test of UltraClean at our hospital in Workby, that hospital reported significantly fewer cases of patient infection than did any of the other hospitals in our group. Therefore, to prevent serious patient infections, we should supply UltraClean at all hand-washing stations throughout our hospital system."
Write a response in which you examine the stated and/or unstated assumptions of the argument. Be sure to explain how the argument depends on these assumptions and what the implications are for the argument if the assumptions prove unwarranted.

我写的:
The author asserts that the UltraClean soap should be supplied to all hand-washing situations in the hospital system based on the laboratory study claiming that this kind of hand soaps’ ability in reducing the bacteria population is much better than normal ones. The author also takes a sequential test in hospitals as further evidence to support his allegation, which says the infection number of hospital using the specific hand soaps is less than other hospitals. However, as far as I am concerned, neither the laboratory study nor the results of the following tests is sufficient to reach such a conclusion.

When it comes to the hand soap study, researchers focused only on the soap's capability to inhibit bacteria population and ignore whether this soap is apt to be used by human beings, especially those in hospital. The chemicals inside may have strong ability to reduce the bacteria population, on the other hand, however, may also bring side effects, which is fatal to patients. Thus, further investigation is needed to study how this soap will affect human beings before it is put into use in large scale.

According to the results of tests in different hospitals, lack of necessary detailed information casts shadow on the tests’ credibility. Statistical principals tell us that the premises must be identical when doing a comparison experiment, namely the situations in different hospitals should be exactly the same except the hand soaps they used. Thus the tests are very likely to result in untrustworthiness with the mutable conditions in diverse hospitals. For instance, it is possible that the hospital in Workby has better circumstances and its infected number is always lower than others'.

Granted that hospitals’ states are similar, consequence of the tests are still unwarranted because the tests are based on the recent situations and random factors, like mutable weather and variation in patients’ number are possibly to affects the results. The climate in other places may be cold and damp, which is suitable for bacteria to multiple, while the Workby' is sunny and dry. Or Workby hospital has a lower level in infection cases but a higher rank in infection rates because of fewer patients it has.

Even if this soap has been proved to be safe and effective in controlling the infection rates in hospitals, financial problem could be another obstacle in the process of popularizing the soap. It has always been an issue for our governments to support the running of medical system, and we should take the government’s capability to afford such a change.

Therefore, credibility of the tests needs further demonstrating and the soap’s safety should be tested before decide whether to use this soap, and financial benefits should be weighted.

再弱问一句,关于argument中重复的题要怎么处理?我总是觉得后面的提问差距不是很大。。。
