Practically speaking, the artistic maturing of the cinema was the single-handed achievement of David W. Griffith (1875-1948). Before Griffith, photography in dramatic films consisted of little more than placing the actors before a stationary camera and showing them in full length as they would have appeared on stage. From

the beginning of his career as a director, however, Griffith, because of his love of Victorian painting, employed composition. He conceived of the camera image as

having a foreground and a rear ground, as well as the middle distance preferred by most directors. the accepted generalizations about organ  transplantation  是however之前的内容还是之后的内容？我怎么觉得是之前的内容呀，要是之前的内容，我觉得应该选C，不理解~~

关于第一题，看原文中有一句Before Griffith, photographyin dramatic films consisted of little more than placing the actors before a stationary camera ，说明是一种比较鄙夷的态度，而condescend不仅仅是屈尊的意思，还有怀着有约态度的意思，所以答案为此

关于第二题，（个人观点不一定对呀）既然是accepted，那么就应该是however之前的内容，那么后面就应该是推翻前面所说的，那么选项就剩下了BCD，但是C中说examine virtues后文并没有说之前观点的优点，D并没有批判论据，只是举出另一项实验，B 相对来说比较准确，因为之前我做过有一道其他的阅读吧，说是alternative不仅仅有两者选其一的意思，还有“另外的”含义，所以相当于就是后文对前文给出了另一种的解释~~~不知道最终的答案是不是B 哦
