刚收到Hofstra University(霍夫斯特拉大学的邮件：
Thank you very much for applying to Hofstra University’s Frank G. Zarb School of Business Graduate Programs. We have received your application materials and they have been reviewed by our committee.  All applications are considered on a holistic basis and we are pleased to let you know you do possess many of the qualities we seek for our newest incoming class.  However, that being said, your current TOEFL score falls below the standards set for the School of Business.  While this is not a denial letter, we are unable to admit you into the program with this score.  We encourage you to retake the TOEFL or IELTS.  With a marked improvement you can secure your admission into our program.  lease let me know if you have any questions or if there is anything I can do to help.



Classes begin on September 3rd. The earlier you take the exam, the sooner we will be able to give you a decision and if you are admitted. Since you are an international student you will need to allow additional time to process your I-20 if you are admitted. If you are unable to retake the TOEFL or IELTS, we will not be able to accept your application. After this point, you will have the opportunity to submit another application and we will retain all of your additional application materials for up to one year. Please contact me as soon as possible to inform us of your plans, so that we can continue to process your application as we move towards enrolling for the Fall 2013 semester.
