我沒有看過以前的討論，但講到collateral，很明顯，是講農民借錢的抵押品

不論是OG的解释上说：E clearly identifies the "Declining values" as the collateral against which farmers borrow...或是你所謂以前討論的"同位語"，我覺得基本上是不衝突的，

農地及農舍價格下降，間接造成借款人手中的抵押品也下跌(OG的說法)，而這個抵押品就是農地及農舍(同位語)，顯然兩說法都通，所以沒有誰錯，大夥都對

我到不太同意楼上的说法，collateral 在这里应该只能是 equipment and land，替换为 declining values 很牵强。下降的价格可以作为抵押品吗？

而OG的解释很显然就是把后者作为了 collateral，从任何意义上都说不通的吧？所以我对OG的这一解释保持怀疑态度。

而且由此说来，A，C，E 的 a collateral... 同位 declining values 就感觉说不通了。
