In blue now.

Part-time means a lot of things, in some sense, much more than just a proverb” impossible is nothing ".

Usually, our work need us to exert everything to accomplish the result we want. But after you made up your mind to be a part-timer of Gmat, everything changed then.

I can’t do my job as well as I used to do, which made me sense my failure everyday. That’s not a good feeling.

Today, maybe only today. I wondering that why we pay so much for such a simple thing. Is GOING ABROAD that important to us?

我也参加,fire_825(A) hotmail.com 准备春节后考。

1. Advertiser: The revenue that newspapers and magazines earn by publishing advertisements allows publishers to keep the prices per copy of their publications much lower than would otherwise be possible. Therefore, consumers benefit economically from advertising.

Consumer: But who pays for the advertising that pays for low-priced newspapers and magazines? We consumers do, because advertisers pass along advertising costs to us through the higher prices they charge for their products.

Which of the following best describes how the consumer counters the advertiser's argument?

A)  By alleging something that, if true, would weaken the plausibility of the advertiser's conclusion

B) By questioning the truth of the purportedly factual statement on which the advertiser's conclusion is based

2. which of the following best completes the passage below?

Sales campaigns aimed at the faltering personal computer market have strongly emphasized ease of use, called user-friendliness. This emphasis is oddly premature and irrelevant in the eyes of most potential buyers, who are trying to address the logically prior issue of whether---

A) user-friendliness also implies that owners can service their own computers

B) personal computers cost more the more user-friendly they are

C) currently available models are user-friendly enough to suit them

D) the people promoting personal computers use them in their own homes

E) they have enough sensible uses for a personal computer to justify the expense of buying one

答案是E, 我选了B,狒狒说了the logically prior issue of whether是逻辑优先问题,可我还是一头雾水

第2题我前两天也做错了,感觉the logically prior issue 说的是前提,E应该是最合适的,因为they have enough sensible uses for a personal computer to justify the expense of buying one,所以这些potential buyers才会考虑buy,是必要条件。

96.The difficulty with the proposed high-speed train line is that a used plane can be bought for one-third the price of the train line, and the plane, which is just as fast, can fly anywhere. The train would be a fixed linear system, and we live in a world that is spreading out in all directions and in which consumers choose the free-wheel systems (cars, buses, aircraft), which do not have fixed routes. Thus a sufficient market for the train will not exist.

Which of the following, if true, most severely weakens the argument presented above?

(A) Cars, buses, and planes require the efforts of drivers and pilots to guide them, whereas the train will be

guided mechanically.

(B) Cars and buses are not nearly as fast as the high-speed train will be.

(C) Planes are not a free-wheel system because they can fly only between airports, which are less convenient

for consumers than the high-speed train’s stations would be.

(D) The high-speed train line cannot use currently underutilized train stations in large cities.

(E) For long trips, most people prefer to fly rather than to take ground-level transportation.

The author argues that planes, since they are a free-wheel system, will be preferred to the high-speed train.

Choice C weakens the argument by pointing out that planes are not a free-wheel system and are les convenient

than the high-speed train would be. Thus C is the best answer.

The special feature of the high-speed train described in A is not one that clearly affects consumer choice one

way or the other way. Since it is planes that would compete effectively with the proposed trains, the fact that cars

and buses might not do so is irrelevant. Non-availability of certain station (choice D) and the consumer

preferences described in choice E tend to make the proposed train less, not more, attractive and so both choices

strengthen the argument.
