unstated' evidence. Just as when you say 'I assume you speak Chinese?'
means you never told me if you can speak Chinese or not, but still
something about you makes me believe you can speak Chinese.


Hence, 'technological advances tend to be quickly surpassed' is not an assumption by its definition. It is an observation/consideration/evidence. This rules out choice A and C.

to laihong：我觉得consideration就是理由或者解释的意思吧。不过我一直很想问有没有人选D啊。我做了两遍还是就想选D,因为第二句话和本题的结论不应该是against的意思吧，是进一步解释在"charge the greatest price the market will bear when they have such a product"后由于市场的反映进一步的举动，在"large profits on the mew product will give competitors a strong incentive to quickly match the new product’s capabilities"后只是价格根据供求平衡降到最佳的地方，就像最后一句形容的结果：Consequently, the strategy to maximize overall profit from a new product is to charge less than the greatest possible price.所以总之第二句话应该是进一步解释事情的发展而已，不能是call into question题目中的stradegy吧。

If you look up a dictionary, you will know that consideration means a fact that you think about when you are making a decision.

Therefore, if you substitute 'fact' for 'consideration' in GWD1-3, you will find B to be so correct.

By the way, does it mean that assumption can never be a correct answer in Boldface?
