答案是D，我没有意见。不过也觉得E好像挺好，哪位请帮忙指出E中错误

答案是A，我觉得应该是D啊。因为提干问的是assumption的问题，D中。。。increase。。。desirable在原文本来就有了“。。。。increased dramatically”，所以为什么不是D而是A呢？唉，逻辑一向是我的弱项，各位大虾请帮帮忙。如果谁觉得不值得问这些简单问题，可别见怪啊

1.E好像很别扭。与题目无关吧。这个不过是chairman对于charge的自辩而已

1. E is not correct. We do not know whether he is aquitted in this case. He is not convited yet. List your reason to choose E. You cannot just pick one answer because it looks like an correct answer.

我认为第一题E也可以是因为原文“Remember that no court of law in any state has found me guilty of any criminal offense whatsoever. In the American tradition, as you know, an individual is considered innocent until proven guilty.”说明这个chairman还没有guilty行为，没有guilty就consider innocent，所以E好像也可以inferred出来吧。大家以为呢？

Q1.  It could be that there are some cases against the chairman still pending (waiting for trial), or currently under trial.  So although no guilty verdict has been given for already-concluded trials, this does not necessarily mean that "Any legal proceedings against the chairman have resulted in his acquittal".
