综合来看，还是E要对一些。B说Woody 的研究exceptional是因为it concentrated on the period before the American Revolution，这是不对的，不是因为他的研究专注于在美国革命以前，因为还有很多人的研究专注于美国革命以前，这是常识。他的exceptional是因为他的研究专注于美国革命以前的girl's education，注意这里一定要有“美国革命以前'这个限定词，答案E没有这个限定词，好像也有一定问题，但总体来说还是E要对一些。

我觉得光从答案的用词来看也应该选E

首先，B 的答案中，exceptional的含义是除了他之外没有别人，within the field of educational history，只有Woody 一个人concentrated on the period before the American Revolution是文中根本没有给出的信息。

原句中说Prior to Kerber’s work,educational historians barely mentioned women and girls; Thomas Woody’s 1929 work is the notable exception. 也就是在Kerber之前，只有woody关注过the education of girls。

而atypical只是说非典型的，可以有几个，那么从文章里，至少有Kerber也关注过 the education of girls，而且可以从上面这句话看出来，整个过程中关注的人不是很多。Woody是其中之一。

你是说atypical就是表示负评价吗？牛津字典里解释它为：非典型的，反常的。不能说它就是表示负评价吧。
