In the past ,when people went out for a trip ,they had to spend mostly their time in travel just with such transportation as the carriage or the boat. Now it is not difficult to travel a place which is about  40 miles from my home because of our developed transportation.When it comes to the choice of a kind of transportation,some people claim that they prefer car , bicycle or others . However ,I regard the bus as a better choice.

The main reason why I agree with the above statement ,of course ,is that the bus is the cheappest transportation except for walking.Athough,it wastes you a little time to get to your place by bus ,you never refuse a so reasonable fee,especially ,when you are free. Lately,with the development of economy, a few family cost much money to purchase a car ,so their lives really get much  more convenience than ever .But with the rising of the oil price and packing fee, supporting a car becomes so expensive that some people,having their own car, prefer bus as there main trainsportation. For example,as far as I am concerned ,I will cost 30 yuan for 40 miles to reach my goal  by own car or taxi, but by bus ,2 yuan is enough to reach that place..

There is another factor in that the bus is a convenient transportation,too . Almost there is a bus directly reaching your goal from your start in the city and the bus sets out every 5 minutes. The bus staiton is easily found in most streets in which you are. Like chengdu ,a big city in china, for example ,there are hundreds buses transport people to their goals.

Of course ,there are a few such shortcomings as wasting time or crowding by bus,but in a word,having 40 miles trip ,bus,as a transportation , is my frist chose.
