Just name one top placement from Wharton Finance for last 5 years plz?


You can easily find 10+ very good placements for HBS for last 5 years.

HBS's top placements are mostly students who write dissertation in economics and there is no doubt that Harvard econ is much better than Wharton. Finance PhD placements, excluding their own hires, are not that impressive. Their accounting PhD placements are far more worse than Wharton.

Even assume your statement is correct(which I might disagree), please tell me whether John Beshear,  Jakub Jurek, Gregor Matvos, Pavel Savor are doing finance?


How's Wharton Finance phd doing? If my memory is right, they only have one NYU placement in the last 5 years seems to be comparable to those persons mentioned above. Can you confirm that?

Business econ is more than finance, it is the combination of finance and econ PhD, albeit in a business school.

Second, they are all doing finance, and I am not claiming that Wharton finance placement is better than Harvard. But Harvard PhD program is better than Wharton is not equivalent to Harvard Finance Department is better than Wharton Finance Department.

Finally, I am in accounting so in my perspective Wharton is much better than HBS.

The sum is indeterminate, and Wharton is better if I put more weight on accounting.

不是太高，是发梦哈哈。。。因为我不想念PHD，当然有好学校砸下来去念咯。。

不过我不觉得我项目水。从生源质量都不水。虽然就业比较惨淡。但MMF就业一直就一般，定位QUANT不如PHD，定位S/T又比MBA MFE稍差。就是数学学位比较好听就是了。

我觉得master项目水否应该就看就业吧，毕竟读个职业性学位不就是为了就业吗？找不到工作还不水啊？mafn的就业在哥大有mfe,mse,msor等等好几个类似项目的情形下真的很难好。加上哥大本科和哥大商学院的冲击。。。所以lz在mafn能找到工作不是mafn不水，而是lz本身很牛吧，在哪都可以找到工作的。
理解lz的目的了，不过lz既然不想读phd干嘛要费这银子啊（如果lz有牛推或者认识录取委员会的人另说），能找到什么工作先做着嘛，然后等经济形势好了跳槽多好呢。PHD一下子五年啊，读出来没准一个经济周期都过去了，又经济低迷了。
