从babybear姐姐的帖子里贴过来纪念一下。姐姐真的很强大~

嗯，babybear姐姐的思路和OG的思路一样的，说得有道理。先自己想想最correct&effective的句子应该怎么表达，这也是08语法笔记上说的“读完A选项后尽量同步地在脑中构思最好的写法应该如何”，语言出于习惯，感觉顺了，就对了。并且要像姐姐这样，先抓大的结构，再看小的修饰，很是受用呀：）
其实如果细读，从修饰上看，C选项用new development也说不过去。原文的是new jumbo rocket，这个意思并没有不合理的地方。但是乍一看，尤其是在考试的时候，这种细小的点可能还是很难察觉到。所以姐姐的思路很正确~
觉得如果要更信心满满的选上E选项，可以把语法笔记的那句话小小地修改一下，“读完A选项后尽量同步地在脑中构思最好的，与原文传递的合理信息一致的写法应该如何”，并谙熟于心。原文是解题的依据来源，切不能忘。

我这么看这道题的，找主干意思，先找动词。这句话两点意思：
1. sth. is expected to carry the US into its next phase
2. sth. will be able to deliver X into orbit
注意两个动词：carry和deliver，以及各自在句子中的意思
然后这个sth.，到底是the development of the rocket呢，还是rocket呢？
第一点意思，从逻辑上，sth.可以是development，也可以是rocket，都说得通。
但是第二点意思，这里的sth.就必须是rocket才符合逻辑。

有了以上分析，然后考虑到以上第2点意思是句子的核心意思，第1点意思是补充信息，我们就知道，句子必然是这么写：
rocket, _______________, will be able to deliver X into orbit.
于是，纵向扫视选项开头，直接锁定D和E。至于D和E之间的split，相信你也明白。

你选的C选项，你把中间插入那部分去掉，主干意思 development will be able to deliver X into orbit and ... 不合逻辑
我一直觉得，对于一个错误的句子，就不要纠结他到底指的是什么，不要去justify错误句子。
C这个"which"就是模糊，你说指代"a jumbo rocket"，我觉得你说的有道理，根据touch-rule确实可以这么理解。
但可能有另一个读者，他会说：“我认为这个which指代'the development of a jumbo rocket'，也就是指代核心名词development，因为，我理解这个'of a jumbo rocket' is a mission-critical modifier that falls between.....所以可以有exception to the touch-rule。” 那我觉得，这个读者的说法也很有道理，符合语法，符合逻辑。
那么就说，读者之间产生不同理解，也就是句子产生歧义，不是读者的问题，而是作者的问题，是作者表达不effective的问题。那么对于一个本来就错误的句子，何必去纠缠怎么理解错误句子？如果你和上面那个读者吵架，没意义，对吧？你俩都没错，作者写错了。

babybear姐姐，请教你一个问题好吗？上面这道题答案是E，我错选了C，解释说C选项which中的which在语法上指代的是the new development,  逻辑上the new development will be able to deliver说不通，所以C错了。可是按照定语从句就近修饰的原则，我觉得which指代的应该是a jumbo rocket，这样的话选项C的意思就是对的了。
找遍了CD也没有发现对这个问题的解释，babybear姐姐是怎么认为的呢？谢谢姐姐~

哇~~裤裤版主光临深感荣幸~~是莫大的动力呀！
BY语法的错误其实挺多的，前后加起来可能有上十个。但是因为我没有用电脑做笔记，并且是按题号整理，没有专门把错误列成一个表。所以不太方便发上来给大家看。等我考完了再整理出错误给大家分享吧~~
裤裤看语法的时候看的是Manhattan吗？下一步我就打算看它了~
