I would strongly suggest you to talk to alumni of this program, to see if it's feasible to extend the 1.5y program longer to give urself some bandwidth, if yes, go for the 1.5y one.

我是985计算机专业本科，在PR行业工作两年（一个相当糟糕的决定），已经申请上了HEC的GE项目。最近了解了一些金融行业的情况，对VC/PE行业很感兴趣，未来打算回国做TMT行业的投资。想请教一个什么样的职业规划比较合适？finance major + 英国/法国大投行的internship/full-time？

Correct. I would say internship in BB TMT sector team (Banking or Research) is the best way to break into TMT PE/VC. Or, you can try corp dev roles in Tech companies (like MSFT, GOOG,FB or whatever you can imagine, not many in Europe tho).

what are the differences between Banking and Research, in terms of job content, pay, work hours and professional path? I want to leverage more my engineering background and enjoy a relatively better lifestlye.
