The general availability of high-quality electronic scanners and color printers for computers has made the counterfeiting of checks much easier.In order to deter such counterfeiting, several banks plan to issue to their corporate customers checks that contain dots too small to be accurately duplicated by any electronic scanner currently available; when such checks are scanned and printed, the dots seem to blend together in such a way that the word “VOID” appears on the check.

这道题问的好奇怪，a questionable assumption of the plan is that。。。。   是问下面哪个假设是可疑的吗？？正确答案给的是E，但是我觉得这个答案怎么会是questionable，E的假设是完全可以成立的，正好填补了题干的逻辑空缺啊。

我觉得e选项是这样说的：这个dots的型号在未来电子扫描仪能够精确扫描到的时间里不会再缩小。也就是说当电子扫描仪能够扫描复制了，能够伪造了，这个dots还是不会变，那就是给这些伪造者足够的时间继续伪造了，所以是最有疑问的假设。

Maybe the questionable point in the assumption is "the size will not decrease in the near future".

E is correct, if the size of the smallest dots that can be reproduced by scanners decrease in the future, then the checks would not help deter counterfeiting any more. 所谓魔高一尺，道高一丈。

题中的“a questionable assumption”其实就是指题目的假设，之所以加questionable，就是指这一假设是可以质疑的。所以questionable assumption 就是我们通常理解的assumption。不知道这样说算不算清楚
